How to connect to a hidden network in Windows 7 , Vista , XP

Before connecting to a hidden network, note down the following information:

  • Your Network SSID
  • Security key
  • Security type ( WEP, WPA etc.)
  • Encryption type

Now,

  • Go to Network & sharing center (control panel –> network & internet )

  • Click on setup a new connection or network
  • Click on Manually connect to a wireless network

  • Type in all the information as required by this wizard.
  • Finish the wizard to connect to this network.
